I just got some mars blackmon fs, and all I knew about sizing was to order half a size down from what I wore in my dunkd, and so I ordered the jordans in 12.5. I dunno about air max's tho. Are you gettin yours from flight club?

I would just go to a local store that carries jordans and ask em that same question. Go to an actual local place tho if you have one, or arsenals. The people at footlocker usually dont know that kind of stuff.
I think it depends sometimes how wide your foot is. I think you'll be fine if you get a 9, but a 9.5 wouldn;t hurt either. its personal preference, if you want to guarantee its going to fit get the 9.5
