Which Nike's do you recommend for actually running? I'm doing track and for training what shoes would you guys recommend? Mind you these will basically be beaters, so the darker the better. Doesn't have to be stylish or anything but good arch support is a must and not too heavy, thanks.

Mizunos are widely considered some of the best technical running shoes, you don't want nikes.

When doing serious running, you're gonna wanna do a little research. You want to find the shoe that will give you optimal performance based on your weight, arches, etc.

i wound up getting some new orthopedic type insoles for my current shoes which help a bunch, made by a company called Superfeet, they really add support and arch support so when i get some new shoes ill just pop them in, also picked up some nice ASIC spikes, see the pickup thread

No they dont, its just that people assume all the retro AMs are good. Theres plenty of other great running shoes by nike. These guys arent running triathlons or anything like that.

Id rather drop some dough on some Air Milers, 360s, or even some good ole Air Pegasus' than have to buy some asics. Those will all hold up great, let your feet breathe, and is fine for going like 40 mile runs every week.

I wear 360's at work (mostly standing/walking around all day)

Frees for running

360 soles are too high for runnign imo.. the back part isnt wide enough and i just feel like i'm going to turn my ankle (obv not running on a treadmill)

Dont go with frees if you're more serious about running (5ks, etc), some of the better ones include the Nike pegasus and Nike Vomero, if you really want to consider those.

Shox blow.

Don't use NB's for running, especially if you're actually gonna be on a track team. Even Nike's aren't very good compared to Asics, Saucony, Mizuno, Brooks, etc
