Now Suzy Skrew had a partna named Sasha (Sasha), Thumper (Thumper)
I remember her number like the summer
when her and Suzy yeah they threw a slumber - - party
but you can not call it that cause it was slummer
Well it was more like spend the night
Three in the morning yawnin dancin under street lights
We chillin like a villain and a ***** feelin right
in the middle of the ghetto on the curb, but in spite
all of the bullshit we on our back starin at the stars above
(aww man) Talkin bout what we gonna be when we grow up
I said what you wanna be, she said, "Alive" (hmm)
It made me think for a minute, then looked in her eyes
I coulda died, time went on, I got grown
Rhyme got strong, mind got blown, I came back home
to find lil Sasha was gone
Her mamma said she with a ***** that be treatin her wrong
I kept on singin my song and hopin at a show
that I would one day see her standin in the front row
But two weeks later she got found in the back of a school
With a needle in her arm, baby two months due, Sasha Thumper

If that was serious, it's like a group duo thing consisting of andre 3000 and big boi.

I think most people would agree that Andre is superior to Big Boi, but I still think Big Boi is better than most rappers. His recent stuff has been really sick. I don't know how many people heard his verse on the "Hood N****" Remix by Gorilla Zoe, but it was dope, and his verse on "Royal Flush", the single off of Sir Luscious Left Foot, the Son of Chico Dusty was really good too.

I agree.

Big Boi is very much overlooked and underrated.

.

I can agree with that. No other group can match their body of work or longevity on top of the game.

No matter what though, some people will never put them ahead of Run DMC, Public Enemy, N.W.A., or Tribe Called Qwest

I think it's hard for people to ever mention a more modern group over the pioneers. Its like when someone says ______ is better then Jordan. Or Jordan is better then ______. People have their sacred horses and wont let it go no matter what. I just believe giving credit where it;s due, and believe that you can have respect and love for a certain group butthat doesnt mean thatsome one cant be better. Hip Hop has a hard time with its blasphemy meter. But truthfully I dont think that "Outkast is the best of all time" gets as many arguments as u would think. XXL put that on their cover maybe 4 years ago.

I think that upon hearing Outkast's name said aloud, people will instantly slap the 'weird R&B/funky hiphop' label on them.

From the mainstream hits they've put that they've gained a lot of fame for (ie Hey Ya!, Roses, Ms Jackson, The Way You Move, etc.), people thought they were just the weird duo.

Add to that 3000's sense of style and his clothing. Rather instantly, the mainstream sees them as the unconventional hip-hop duo, and that isn't exactly a good 'unconventional.' This is coming at least from the people I know and have heard talking about Outkast.

But on the real, it's a pity that there are a bunch of people who believe so because they don't know what they're missing out on.

Truthfully. I think that number is in the minority. From people who listen and actually disect music they are all around championed. Lavished with awards and each album (excpet probably Idlewild) considered classics. Younger cats might think differentyly and just think of them as weird, butthats partl cause they didnt feel the same impact on themas my generation did. But all the mid 20 somethings worship these guys. Unconventional as a diss only goes so far. Never hindered Prince.

I know thier are more influential and important albums...even hip hop albums.

But Aquemini might be my favorite album of all time. It pretty much changed my life. It came out my junior year in high school and i never looked at music the same again. They had song on there dealing with environmental issues, songs about drug addiction, the dangers of modern science gone too far, they sang on it, did poetry, they had songs using french horns and harmonicas. Its fucking mind blowing....seriously. I didn't even know Hip Hop could go in that direction at that point in my life. ANd, it raised the bar for everything i heard after that.

Ifthere was any justice in this world it would sit side by side with SOngs in the Key of Life and Sgt Pepper.
