naw but really this is tougher than the nas or jay thing. im gonna go with madlib though cause of flow, creativity(quasi), and all the other sounds he puts out. though dilla crushed the soul clap.

I haven't heard too much dilla, but from what I've heard from madlib, he takes it to another level in tracks. Def one of the most original beat makers of now I'd say, with samples and all.

dilla hands down. his production style spawned a generation of biters. but don't get it twisted, malib is dope too... it's just dilla is a legend and has made a huge contribution to hiphop and producers everywhere.

I knew the voice was saying Claire but I never knew this was the song that was used. Props for this man, this is mad ill.

As far as the question goes, Dilla. Dilla was better on the beats and way better on the mic than Madlib. Not to say that Madlib is wack but yea.

Jaydee for sure. Dilla innovated and inspired all these new producers like Madlib. And he has a lot of dope beats! Don't really like his later stuff, but his classic beats were really dope!

I think both producers are incredible. Like someone stated earlier Madlib's creativity is astounding his beats always have the right amount of soul, rawness, and ambiance. Overall I would have to say Dilla though his influenece was too strong and he has put out more classic joints than Madlib.

Madlib definitely. I love Dilla but his sound is so predictable, I get it, chopped soul vocals over some chill jazz drums, great. Madlib is such a fucking genius because he'll do some ill ass Dilla shit (Beat Konducta, etc.) and then completely flip the script and do some extra space type of shit like both Quasimoto projects, which are so dense and creative they're beyond classification. I swear I still listen to Further Adventures and hear new shit in the mix I never noticed before, not to mention Madvillainy, which is hands down my favorite album of all time.
