if you were to pick a dead artist to bring back to life who would it be?

for me i have a couple, on one side i chose Bob Marley because i think he can change the way people think with his music, and he truly believed in that himself which is prob why he was such an amazing singer/songwriter

and on the other hand THE NOTORIOUS because straight up he was at the peak of his career and i would've liked to see where he would of taken it

now clearly there are a whole bunch of other artists who i left out cuz i wanna know what you guys think

Rock died when he died.

GTFOH. Nirvana wasn't even the best grunge band during that time. But I would bring back Phil Lynott.

Did I say that? But I disagree anyway... He was a genius.

Listen to the radio. Rock is horrible and has been that way, with a few exceptions, for quite a while.

Well, if you said that rock music died when kurt cobain did, then you're basically saying Nirvana was the best band out before he died. And there is plenty of good rock, you just need to know where to look.smile

Nah... it's hard for me to really explain what I mean. Basically, he died... and (mainstream) rock music just started getting cheesy to me. I have a hard time believing that Panic! at the Disco would be on the radio had Cobain not died. Again, this is all my opinion.

In anycase... hook a brother up with some bands. I'm always straight with hip hop, but I never know where to get good rock.

Freddie Mercury, Luther Vandross & Hendrix.

Kurt Cobain is overrated, much like most dead artists.

Honestly most artists that died young or with a small library of music, and have beome legends, wouldn't have been as reveered as they are in death. Eventually they would all make bad albums and would become just like everybody else.

But yeah
Dilla, pure genius
Hendrix
Freddie Mercury
