I know theres a range from artists, producers, musicians, music aficionados among us. But I don't know everyone all that well so I thought It be a good Idea to get everyones info. Hopefully to build a great place for everyone to network and discuss the one thing we all blatantly have in common: Music.

Name: Santo Angelo
(basically something Spanish that most people wont F up on pronouncing)

Age: 22

Genre(s): Hip Hop, Disco/Funky/French House

Music Background: I loved music my whole life when I turned 15ish then started emceeing which eventually lead me to producing. At 19 I finished a 3 month assistant engineer program at a local music production institution, then went back to finish the 1 year music production program. I am first a hip hop "traditional" sample based boom bap producer, however this summer I started an electronic based project called Rayguns & Robots which is what I am working to finish now.

Instruments: A little keyboard. However, everything I do is computer based (sequencing and sampling) so really the computer is my instrument.

Where can you check my work?: For Now ...

Future Projects/Collabs you should know about:

Like I mentioned Santo Angelo Presents Rayguns & Robots album will be available this summer. For free download so If any of you have blogs get at me about getting the link to you maybe planning a small feature on your blog. I just want to get the music out there any publicity would be highly appreciated.

A collaboration with champ from the group Move.meant is underway. For those of you who know he is a top-notch emcee and there debut album "Move.meant - A Scope of Thing to Come" was possibly one of the best hip hop albums to come out last year.

A collaboration with U-N-I. I have sent Thurz and YO a large amount of my beats there feeling. Unfortunately they have their handful with other projects but I'm really hoping we can make it happen soon. Most of you should know them by now Thurz post here frequently.

Anything Else?:
I'm just a regular around the way person who loves making and listening to good music. If you wanna do work get at me I am an approachable person
and I take pride in it.

DITC, joe, pun, wu, nas, mobb etc. late 90s listened to a little more southern hip hop. early 2000s fucked with the mixtape circurt hard, shitty music started coming out and kinda stopped paying so much attention to the scene. got way more into the neo-sould movement. house music. being from detroit brokenbeat/ghetto tech is everywhere. moderated one of the biggest hip hop forums on the net for a few years. past few years with the explosion of great music from kanye, little brother, common etc. started to enjoy hip hop a little bit more.

Age: 17

Genre: Hip-Hop

Music Background: I first became interested in music around 9 or 10 years of age. Like every other kid in the world I started off on the piano, but I soon quit and moved on to drums. I've played drums for 7 years now, and for the past year or so I've been experimenting with hip-hop production. My style is constantly changing as I find new forms of inspiration, and I try not to limit myself to one particular sound.

Instruments: Drums, FL Studio 5, Axiom 49

Check me out at:

Future Projects/Collabs you should know about:

For the past month or two, Vintage and I have been working on our debut album titled On The Air. I can't say too much about it just yet, but we're doing something completely unheard of. The album will take on the form of a radio station, complete with a DJ and short shout-outs and plugs. We are both very excited for this album, and will be putting out an EP in the near future... so keep an eye out!

my names Mike DOS M.C.FLY and i have a rap group/production company right now we are only showcasing our beats. our songs (all original beats, songs, lyrics) are either being touched up,getting mixed&mastered,or just not done yet. Our mixtape comes out sept.1st and will be titled pREPsKOOL. the only song we let out to the public was a sneakerhead anthem which isnt even done (not finished, mixed, missing a verse) we preformed at a couple places around the chicago area and we have a myspace and you can hit us up at and check out our soundclick which has about half of our beats (the others are for our projects with us and other artists) if you want to buy beats, collab, need a preformance hit us up. where a hip hop group kind a like a modern ATCQ we set out to make MUSIC which can be listened to years from now and be relevant.

Musical Background. Been around music for ever. Dabbled in a couple musical instruments as a kid later getting into DJing in the 8th grade. Moved onto college radio as a DJ in 96 alongside some well known DJs at the time. Stayed there for 9 years doing a Hip Hop radio show where I'd bring in weekly guests/Hip Hop artists, but mostly just playing good music. Got into making beats in 97 and was eventually signed to Inner Current records in 06. Started a music blog called Vinyl Athletes showcasing vinyl only releases from all over the planet. Just good Hip Hop records basically.

Current Projects: As a DJ, I just recently released a Mix CD called "Clearing Customs" featuring exclusive music from over seas! Mostly rare remixes and Hip Hop releases that are unavailable on Amercan soil! Also my instrumental album, "Second Hand Music" should be out on Inner Current records very soon. It's currently only available on Itunes but should be out on vinyl and maybe CD soon.

Name: Omni "Omnificent" Omega

Age: Potty Trained.

Genre(s): Hip Hop, R&B

Music Backround: I'm black. Really nothing more to say on the subject.

Instruments: I stole a computer from the local library. That and I used to play piano at one point.

Where can you check my work? Here: www.myspace.com/theomnificentone

Collaborations: Years ago I threatened to rip Milly's "Robot Is The Future" shirt, under the condition that she added my production to all of her future mixtapes. She was hesitant at first, trying to utilize sex as a barganing chip, but she finally submitted.

Next, I engage in a deadly cat-and-mouse game with Infamous that consists of me trying to prove that he is in fact of african descent; a move that he escapes at every turn. I also helped mold Subculture into the man he is today. One day Sub and I were smoking weed while listening to Marvin Gaye (deadly combination), during which I convinced him to read the dictionary front to back as Spike Lee's Malcom X played on television. He hasn't been the same since.

Oh yeah, I hit up Santo Angelo on aim for five dollars once, but he never responded. Cheap Bastard.
