Ok, so this here is a geetar thread, who plays guitar ? how long ? what guitar do you have ? what do you like to play etc

I been playing 2 years or so, im in a band first gig is on saturday lol im scarred.

Got me a fender strat and a gibson les paul, both are teh sex.

I have a fender start as well.



When i first got it like 2 years ago i started to take lessons but i got frustrated and quit lol. But I still pick it uop from time to time and as of right now the only songs I can play are:

1. Aint No SUnshine - Bill Withers
2. This IS How We Do - The GAme feat 50 cent
3. The SImpsons Theme Song
4. You Cant Touch This - MC Hammer
5. Balckbird - The Beatles.

great thread.

i have an acoustic guitar, was my dads, it's almost 40 years old but it's still in good shape.

have had it for like a month and ive learned some songs but i really want to get into playing more and better. anybody got reccomendations on learning, any books, or anything?

those things cost a fortune! I heard their lowend guitars just go for 800 minimum.

if i was you learn some tabs XD then you'll soon learn chords after, thats what i did. self taught is really good, but if you really wanna excell gets some professional training.

tabs are the easy way to learn. Actually learning how to read music is the harder part. After playing music for 5 years i still havent learned buut i plan to soon.

nah lowends are like 4 -5 i think but they still sound good....

reading music is easy if you're taught correctly. its not learning what to play that's hard, its learning how to play.

lol not even..takamine d classes run 200 or whatever..taylor, martin, and gibson some high end guitars to look at minimum on those would be 600..my taylor ran around 2600..
