I've been buying a lot of music off of iTunes lately. After I started making enough money to eat, I realized that buying music is chump change, and I don't look for free music any more. I feel more accomplished that way.

Anyway, I recently bought Mac Miller's album. When I first checked it out, I was blown away by the production and his raps were pretty consistent. I was feeling it for like 3 days, and then I realized it was TOO consistent. I'm actually mad now that I bought it. Its above average niggas like WALE (I hate that guy), even though his album wasn't all bad either (being completely unbiased). However, I think his ego doesn't match his potential and he (Mac) needs to humble up so he can focus on moving up. Because right now he is looking pretty stagnant.

I'm really looking forward to Dorris and YOTS. I bought all of the singles for both of those albums and I'm loving what I hear so far. YOTS is long overdue by my nigga Rob Bank$, and the production doesn't really sound like top quality, but his persona is convincing and flow is fun to listen to so I am really interested to find out what that has to offer. Dorris is flawless to me at this point. Earl switched his style up to a more laid back, depressing feeling flow. Though the lack of enthusiasm is disappointing, you can't deny that he isn't one of the best up and coming rappers behind Kendrick to date.

Lastly, I had to download some classic shit. I went back and bought Rick James' Ultimate Collection. OMG! I have always had an appreciation for the 80s more so than the 90s, even though I was born in the 90s. Some of the tracks I was feeling the most on this collection were:

"Dance Wit' Me" - I really admired the vocals on this track, and the bridge sealed the song in its perfection with a Xylophone solo, and a Sax Solo following it at the end, OMG!

"Ghetto Life" - This track starts off so epic. I can't describe how happy it makes me feel when I hear it. I'm sure you all are familiar with this song, it really speaks for itself.

"High on Your Love Suite" - This track has the same feel to me as "Dance Wit' Me" with its sing-a-long temptation to it. Its consistency is refreshing and fun to listen to. I sure has hell do a little two step when I am rocking to this. LMAO!

"You and I" - Sounds almost like "High on Your Love" exactly actually. The beats are so similar in format, I sometimes get them confused and put the lyrics to the other track. Its hard not to like one if you like the other.

And then you have everyone's favorites, which I can't deny, "Give it to Me Baby", "Mary Jane" (OMG!), and "Super Freak".
