can't believe the guitar solo at the end of "Hold My Liquor" samples or at least takes inspiration from "Through the Fire and Flames"
it's a sample from a band called Ratatat
not sure which song but they have a very distinctive sound

8.75/10

Lyrically it's one of Kanye's poorer albums, but then again so was Graduation. What really stands out is the sampling & production -- Kanye's always on top of his game, and Yeezus really shines in this aspect. Mixing and mastering is poor at some points, but can't blame 'Ye for that.

It's not Album of the Year, but no one could have done what Kanye just did.
I don't even post often, but holy shit please get off his dick.

I'm a big fan myself but he didn't even produce half of it.

Even the songs he was doing production on had several others on it with him.

I didn't mean to imply that he himself produced it, but he's the one bringing these producers (Mohawke, Dean, No I.D., etc.) together. And Dean himself said that Kanye is the one that brings to them the samples or beats he's interested in  using -- that's what he does. You're making it sound like just because he didn't single-handely produce a fucking track that that means he somehow is taking a backseat in the process.

Tell me what other artist could've put Daft Punk and Travis Scott in the same room?

Yes, i.e. his album's production and sampling is consistently top-notch. And?

Bound 2 gave me hope that Kanye would return to his old self, along with White Dress (which isnt on the album.)

yea this album is too fucking good. you really shouldn't view this as a "rap" album but as a whole. ive never heard so many good sounds blended in together. i mean this shit is smooth besides his rapping.
9/10, would be 10/10 if it wasn't for his lyrics (then again in one of the interview it said he did the vocals and lyrics to 5 of the songs in hours)

this nigga on a whole another level, that jamaican x bon iver in im in it still gets me

Good album, but I think voice disortion and autotune are annoying as fuck at this point.

I was also hoping that even with the 10 tracks, they would be on some 20/20 Experience length shit, and still be like a 60 minute album.

But instead its just 40 minutes of music, only about 30 mins of which is stuff I like

That's cause it's a "LP". LPs are usually 10 songs 40 minutes. YEEZUS is exactly 40 minutes too lol.
