As I listen to the Black Hippy RMX of U.E.N.O., I am stricken with the age old question

May 23, 2013 @ 01:10:04
Why is Jay Rock in Black Hippy?
May 23, 2013 @ 04:51:54
because he is the silent assassin of the 4 headed dragon, a black happy blastin a 50 out of a benz wagon.

i hope that helps.
May 23, 2013 @ 12:04:05
jayrock is TDE, without him they wouldnt be where they are today
May 23, 2013 @ 12:23:32
believe it or not but up until two years ago he was the most well known of the group

its frustrating to think how many idiots out there really dont know about jay rock and probly ask this same question every day to each other
May 24, 2013 @ 07:23:38
Jay Rock is dope... Why even ask this question?
May 24, 2013 @ 17:34:41
Lol niggas sleepin on Jay Rock, where have you been?

All I do is smoke weed and listen to MF DOOM innercitykidsmusic.com

I believe it because I knew about Jay Rock before I even knew who the rest of Black Hippy was, but even then, dude never did anything for me with his music. I'm not saying he's a terrible artist, but lyrically, he's not on the same level as the rest of them. You can ask how many idiots wonder the same thing everyday, but I think there's legitimacy to the question.

True. I heard of Jay Rock before Kendrick & the rest of Black Hippy.
I remember when the song he did with Wayne came out, I was fuckin with that 30 Day Takeover Mixtape back then.
he also was on the XXL freshmen cover before everybody else.

Jays hype sorta dampened when he went to Strange imo. He made a smart choice by staying independent but he now has the least hype of all 4 members.

All this is irrelavent because Jay Rock is one hot mixtape away from being right back in the mix, obviously he's got other things to deal with in his life besides music rn

All I do is smoke weed and listen to MF DOOM innercitykidsmusic.com

I agree that his verse was weak on this remix, but don't sleep on rock especially if you haven't heard his old material and all of black hippy's work together. There's a reason he killed money trees.
May 26, 2013 @ 03:41:29
jay rock was the 1st of TDE to gain any attention
May 27, 2013 @ 19:18:10
Listened to that song for like an hour straight. Straight fire. They all killed it.

you're kidding yourself if you think that jay rock's verse on UOENO was anything special. that said, ab-soul's verse was the weakest. his verse on Smoke Again was shitty too which worries me since he was so strong lyrically on most of Control System

Jay Rock was the first in TDE to truly blow up. WIthout him Kendrick, Soul, and Q would still be in a basement with terrible album covers.
Shit, Q basically owes his life to Jay Rock.

I hashtagged the hashtag and trademarked the trademark

So we're going to completely disregard the fact he had the best verse on GKMC?
June 02, 2013 @ 02:43:10
