Great album. Great debut for Mr. Lamar.
I gotta give it a few more listens to determine if its an instant classic tho
The cinematic feeling throughout the album is one of my favorite features, along with awesome introspective & ride with, vibe with tracks, but what is making me hesitate is the (IMO) unnecessary throw-in tracks with big names. The Hit-Boy produced "freestyle" and the Drake feature didn't wow me and just didn't turn out well enough.
That being said, this album features bangers-galore & is a fantastic listen if you're ears have been beat to death by the G.O.O.D crew and need something more refreshing.

Yes I think it's definitely an instant classic...especially compared to all the other mainstream rap music.

@aspectconnor yeah the Drake feature was really not that great, Drake is really starting to show a lack of originality tbh...especially when he stands right next to Kendrick

It has potential. The only skippable track for me is poetic justice.Other than that, its a great album.

I liked the concept of making it like a short film and adding all of those little skits at the end of each song, but I felt it got tedious at times. If he maybe added the skits in between songs, I think it could've been much easier to listen to, but that's just my opinion.

Besides that, Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe and Sing About Me were mad dope. cool
