i know how you feel. Don't get me wrong i use FL every time i needed to make a beat. For me using logic is faster. It works well with drum kits. Message me for any beats though

ive used fl studio for like 7 years now. i personally think it gives you the most control if you know what youre doing.

I feel like everyone who has just started producing talks a bunch of shit about FL, but I have been using it for 5 years (I'm 17), and if you know what you are doing with it, it is the best program you can use. And I have used Reason and Ableton enough to know what you can make with it.
September 06, 2012 @ 21:01:06
studio one is the shit. maschine is cool too. the only thing with maschine that i have a complaint about is that the sampling on it is kinda difficult to work with. you have to REALLY work wiht a sample for it to loop perfectly. i have one and wouldnt really recomend it for sampling. its a fucking beast for unsampled beats.

iono about that man, mostly all the beats i make are sampled and all made with maschine and to me its easier ,it cant timestretch, and u gotta get ur samples to wav. and thats prolly the only things that suck about it but thats just my opinion tho, to me its dope af

Used FL for first 7 years of beat making, had a good time.

Started using Ableton 2 years ago, and I'll never touch FL again.
September 06, 2012 @ 23:09:38
They're all the same shit; it's all about your preferred workflow. Ableton has an advantage with the warp markers feature though. Try them all out.

I personally like Sony Acid cause it was the first one I tried.

I use Reason and Ableton. Usually Rewire them especially if I am doing a sample. Samples in Reason take too long to rework and like the homie JLK said Ableton's warp markers are the shit.

Again try each DAW out as they all have different workflows the key reason many people use FL is it is incredibly easy learning curve. I consider this the "Mac OS". Simple and easy to use. But it may not have everything you want. So many people go to Reason which is all self contained unless you get new re-extensions I own a few. Or even an Ableton kinda like FL though workflow is completely different. You can also at a Studio One or Cakewalk here. Then you have the more complex DAW such as Pro Tools and Cubase which will have every last thing built in but will have a steep learning curve. All become nothing after using for awhile.

I started making beats about 11 months ago

I used FL, Reason, and Ableton

I got into Reason in jan this year, and Ableton a few months ago. didnt touch ableton more srsly until recently and now I love it. Reason was my shit for the longest since I discovered it too though

I still use FL every now and then too. I try to keep it versatile. they all have diff feels

I wanna get into Logic Pro but I dont have no mac or no money
