I can hear the Pharrell in this.. and liked the reusing of some of the sounds from Channel Orange.

also I noticed many more Supreme references
this. tyler's music in WOLF (beats and raps) play like as if pharrell and eminem had a baby, and that baby was really angsty and dirty.

a lot of his "beats" and chord progressions are very neptunes inspired. only grimier. it feels like a version Bastard that was proofread and edited by pharrell.

a lot of his "flows" and punchlines are very eminem-esque. "pointing my guns and aiming them in One Direction". that could definitely have been some throw away eminem line circa Marshall Mathers LP. and Colossus is basically Stan pt. 2. which is funny because i always thought Earl channeled eminem. i wouldn't be surprised if there was some ghost writing going on.

overall it's a pretty fun album. but i also really like pharrell and eminem so i might be biased.

exactly how i feel.
so glad this is more of a matured version of Bastard than another rehash like Goblin.

some of the songs aren't really that solid, but the more serious ones and the tracks with OF features are great.

On the other hand, Hodgy and Mellowhype haven't made anything noteworthy lately.
