Dang that is nice. What genre would you classify this?
Not exactly Punk hardcore but I really enjoy VILLAINS from Illinois. Very low guitar tuning and very bouncy

Dang that is nice. What genre would you classify this?I.. don't really know actually. There are quite a few bands from the Chicago area (like Villains) that really push this bouncy, rhythm-heavy kind of sound. Though it might not be the most technical music I really love the vibe and energy they carry in their songs. If you liked them you should also check out Barrier (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UR2IrlobQs) and Rooks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31LPC_LxN6M).
VILLAINS sounds like a "djent" band. Meshuggah and Cloudkicker do it better but the "genre" is pretty damn tedious in general. This band stinks.Djent really is tedious, but I wouldn't describe Villains as a djent-sounding band. They are maybe even duller since they have less melodies than Cloudkicker or Periphery and focus even more on bouncy rhythms. Kind of like the Waka Flocka of Metal/Hardcore; not the most sophisticated music around but I can't stop nodding my head
Is no one excited about the tour I just posted?! The Ghost Inside, Stick To Your Guns, and Rotting Out!?Would only be interested in Rotting Out.
You want hardcore from Chicago listen to Weekend Nachos, Noose, and Poison Planet. As I said, the bands I mentioned barely have anything to do with hardcore, I just thought they might appeal to some people posting in this thread. Weekend Nachos sound really great though, reminded me of Harms Way. You should also check out Drowning from Chicago (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS_2s-kRXgk), they have some really heavy parts (though also some beatdown-type breakdowns).
really? All the bands on the tour(with the exception of Stray from the path) are good bands that deserve some recognition. Reign Supreme has performed with all of them.Is no one excited about the tour I just posted?! The Ghost Inside, Stick To Your Guns, and Rotting Out!?Would only be interested in Rotting Out.

I'm not really into that type of hardcore. I'm more into real short, fast, angry songs. Outbreak, Swamp Thing, early Trash Talk and Ceremony, xfilesx, Tear It Up, Charles Bronson, etc.really?
