Its good, I get a lil sick of the kinda generic piano styled beats and singing on nas songs, they never get that many plays by me but I like it. Locomotive is definitely favorite but I gotta get to know all the songs
^ Yep, I'd put this right after God Son in NAS catalogue even though Ni99er had a couple better songs overall. But this album is just solid from start to finish off one listen. I actually like the singing features. Amy Whinehouse was amazing in on Cherry Wine in particular. And I was never a huge fan of her. R.I.P.
So after a few more listens, the only tracks I really skip are the Rick Ross one and the intro (just because its an intro). Worlds an addiction is good but doesnt have much replay value. I'd say the album could use maybe another nice rap feature like AZ on "you wouldn't understand" or someone we wouldnt expect. Still classic though
Remove
Loco-Motive (don't like 1989 boombap in a 2012 album)
Reach Out (Track would have been nice without Mary J Blige fucking it up)
The Don (just didn't feel it)
and you have a FUCKING undisputed classic, still a classic though. Nas finally overcame his disease of horrible beat selection. The condition of "Nas Ear" shall be called "Eminem Ear" from now on.
