Hip Hop Feel Off After 2005 And Its Very Sad smh

I do not know the reason for this tragedy but its very true. Look back at the music we had from 1990 to 2005. Compare the hip-hop hits to today's hits.

Even the rappers who were killing shit back then have fell off. Rappers who have feel off include Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye West etc. (yes eminem has fell off sorry, althoough him > others)

The hottest rappers coming out are ASAP Rocky, Meek Mill & Kendrick Lamar. Now you might like them but just compare them to DMX, 50 Cent & Eminem. Came from groups such as Wu Tang to fuckin Odd Future smh.

Haven't even mentioned 2Pac & Biggie yet lol

Rock already went through that shit man. We're basically in the 80's era that rock n roll had. "Real Rock n roll" heads hated bands like Poison, and all those glamorous looking groups, etc.

This shit just has a more profound affect, because these "hip hop" heads have a direct outlet to people to voice their opinion (social media), and back in the day they voiced opinions through magazinges, and interviews that were'nt available to watch anytime. You had to see it when it aired or something.

Anyways the opinion will never pass, and there will always be good/great music, but it's never the same, because now we're conditioned to listen to it. We expect certain things, and it isn't a feeling of something new.

idunno whenever i put on some raiderklan shit automatically i kno its them, they might not have totally unpackaged their sound but they certainty have there own way of doing things, sgp's production is really starting to stand out, like u knowwww when u here an sgp beat just like u knoooo when u hear a tyler beat, the oldie beat is simple as fuck its hella 90's but still feels like some shit tyler did, this isnt the 90's the youth isnt remaking the 90's...

i feel like when '05 came along it was 50 cent "candy shop" type music, that was soo popular that thats what niggas wanted to do to get money.....

I disagree. Social networking/technology expanded the horizon of hip-hop while also enabling new creative, innovative sounds to be used by producers/artists. Rap/Hip-Hop has become more flexible.

kendrick lamar will never make classics like Get Rich Or Die Tryin or The Massacre. HE IS GOOD, BUT he can not put a song together like 50 and there has been less than 10 artist in hip-hop to ever be close to 50's level of FLOW/HOOK.
