Banks has always been nice with his lyrics. I can see where some would say he's underrated but the fact is he's been under achiever when it comes to making hits. Take a look at his body of work his first single "On Fire" is still his BIGGEST hit. What it boils down to is that Banks hasn't been able to come fully out of 50's shadow. I thought he was gonna kill the game and bring lyricism back when I heard "Beamer Benz or Bentley." I just knew he had a a hitter with "I don't deserve you." Bottom line & it sucks that this is true he has to make a CLASSIC album to recieve a small percentage of the respect that he greatly deserves. It's the old Jordan/Pippen theory, the leader of his team was so big that he's forever in his shadow.....
