Bro…i applaud you for this statement. I've been in love with that houston and memphis sound my whole life, as do a lot of these major artists you know. True, A$AP has that feel now, and is bringing even more recognition to that feel that we love, but its not "A$AP's" style. ya know. Its just how the music game works. Whenever someone gets on for a specific sound, if anyone else uses that sound, its called jockin. What if its paying homage to the OG's tho? It also has a huge part to do with timing…I've had this song recorded before i even knew anything about ASAP and them, but because I released it after he gained his position, its seen as "bandwagoning" on my part you know. I hope the music heads know this.

Asap borrows alot of elements from H-town such as the chopped and screwed voice and the flows and how its a slower tempo but what differs ASAP is his rhyming and his beat selection. Paul Wall and Bun B dont rap on Clams Casino beats and thats what i was alluding to as well. Its not just the deep voice its the whole ambience of the track. Which i was saying i got a slightly similar vibe from your mikey. Dont get me wrong tho HOT TRACK. I was just tryin to picky and that was the only thing i could say for constructive criticism. Love the song whoadie

Tell me why I was just listening to it and there's about two to three tracks on there that have the same feel, flow, or sample that i used on a couple songs on my project that i dropped on the 14th… Most people would be all like "man, this nigga took my flow" but not me man. Easy is a word you need to lose from your vocabulary if you're trying to make it. They put in work before they get put on. Nobody literally blows up over night. They've usually made a lot of contacts in music, worked with people, did shows, and put out a lot of good music and are know locally.
