none of you niggas actually listened to the lyrics... Video games? That's one sad ass excuse of a song. it sounds like she's trying to stand out. I fuck with the album heavy only because of the production and the melodies.... Because some of the shit she said was straight up ugly. I feel like niggas will just say that's she's awesome for no reason... Or because Kanye tweeted her lol. Carmen was probably the best track on here... Which is really saying something.

i'm by no means a hater i give props when due she isn't that bad but nothing special vocally/originality wise.could i get a rational non trolling opinion what fans/people like about her cause most of the opinions i have been hearing make me believe it's just hipster hype.

Hipster hype is exactly how id describe her. She's obviously gorgeous and has a decent voice but it is just all hype unfortunately.
Wonder how many people know shes actually called Lizzie Grant and tried to make it as a singer in NY under that name? When that failed she created this Lana Del Rey character and got her millionaire father to bankroll her albums and career.

I don't like the fact that she's "manufactured", but you can't deny her talent. She sounds amazing in some of the tracks. I wanted to like the album, but after 3-4 listens I can only say I like maybe half the tracks. Not what I was expecting given that I really liked Video Games and Blue Jeans.

If you think she's the only "manufactured" artist out there you're naive. There are a lot of artists who went by previous names trying to make it and then finally got something that stuck. The difference between her and other artists is the fact she's been exposed. Die Antwoord is a good example too, but they embrace it and don't give a shit.

The whole album is really good. I think people that disregard it just needs to give it a thorough listen and then it grows on you fast. Lots of replay value and some of the songs can be iconic. Ie. Summertime Sadness

i had no idea who she was til atrilli.net posted that her album leaked with a DL link. i listened to it once and had it playing nonstop for the rest of her week. its not just hipster hype, you just dont like her much and since people like her more than you, you just see her as hype
