music is pure opinion. but for professional musicians, opinion is way more powerful than skill. the most talented/skilled people will never be known unless they attain a popular opinion of the masses. and idiots with absolutely no skill can become popular and successful. beef is powerful (at least it used to be). beef can kill careers. remember ja rule? he was actually doing pretty well for himself with murder inc until he had beef with g-unit. then when eminem came in, his career was literally killed. ja rule became the biggest joke, and all of his fans' opinions changed in g-unit's favor. like, eminem took the dude's job away from him. ja rule has no other skills to get another job that paid like that. he's fucked.
