That list is horrible. Like one of the users said above music lists like this are weak. How is Ice Cube ahead of Eminem ? How is that ? How is Nas number one ? I love Nas and he's one of the greatest rappers of all time, arguably the greatest writer in rap, but better than Jay-Z ? Jay-Z is good at everything not just rapping but actually making hit songs, he has one of the best catalogs for a solo artist, he would be seated on the throne if rap was a hierarchy. And why the fuck is Lauryn Hill on the list ? She's great but greater than AZ ? lol she came out with one great solo album I'm sorry but that is not enough I can't respect that. If she died OK but a huge part of being a great artist in any medium is consistency. If Da Vinci only made the Mona Lisa he wouldn't be this God like being people see him as.

if consistency is key then Jay Z shouldn't even be mentioned tbh

Nigga ironic for you to call another nigga garbage, especially someone who is actually extremely talented. Cam'ron's delivery, mic presence, wordplay, is one of a kind. You may not understand half of what he's saying but he has bars. He's silly, immature, and repetitive but he knows how to make good songs. Plus, he's an original. He's just ignorant, hilarious, and clever and that's what I believe makes him a top 50 MC. I truly believe that. If they're gonna put Wayne or Ice-T on this list, Cam'ron deserves to be on here too. Besides Elzhi has been around for a long time you just been sleeping on him until he dropped Elmatic.. Plus like someone else mentioned about Slug not being on the list. These lists are a joke. It's just a testament to people like the ones who wrote the article sleeping on talented artists that have been grinding for years.

But who's to say who's more talented than others? They are excluding some big names: DOOM, Slug, Cam'ron, Pusha-T, Vinnie Paz, even like you said, Royce, but I can't understand leaving out Pharoahe Monch. Monch not being on the list is probably the most embarrassing exclusion. But like I already said, lists like these are retarded. Just pure and simple. You can't classify rappers or any musicians for that matter in neat little categories like this. I mean Lauryn Hill has bars , but you can't just throw her on here because she's a woman. It's just there's always a grey area with rappers. Appealing to majority is illogical and stupid and that's all these lists do it seems. Put the biggest names and exclude the biggest talents.

I agree with most of this but the problem with these lists is it seems like these dudes are afraid to put in some lesser known cats...like everytime. Think Vast Aire, One Be Lo, El-P (Funcrusher Plus shit)
