I didn't listen to LASERS so I can't compare them.

Specifically, the tracks where he tried to sing/go in on electronic beats were meh as fuck. And I have nothing against electro.

I took me a while to get used to the mostly electro-house/dubstep sound of his new tape, but lyrically he still got it. I'm a bigger fan of the pre-Lasers Lupe, but he's just testin new concepts and sounds so I respect him for that. Besides, his mixtape is better most of these sleeper ones out right now lol

Besides the production ( shit over-doses on the pop vibe) , Lupe is flowing his best in recent history. Tape is dope, but it would've been better if he aimed in a more classic direction with his instrumental choice.
