I wasn't really feeling his first album. To me, when I first heard him it sounded like he was trying too hard to be a rapper (basically sounding like a gimmicky MC), lots of corny attempts at metaphors and punchlines. I hate to say this, but it sounded like he was "trying too hard" to rap, if that is possible.

With that said, I listened to one track that he recently released and he has gotten a lot more listenable.
