Few outstanding tracks like Suddenly and Wild for the night(even if skrillex is a faggot). Kinda dissapointing all in all, but Train made the download worth it cool

can yall nigaz stick to talkin bout Rocky and not if Tupac is technically a good rapper or not? cuz technically u prly don't know shit if u think that.. your talkin bout the niga who single handedly changed hip hop and is artistic direction and DIRECTLY influenced any rapper u can name that u think is better then him. There are those people who defend Tupac cuz they grew up bein told that he was the greatest and then there is the mufuckas who know exactly what he did and why will always be the best. We can get technical and talk about how he changed the mechanics of making a rap song and bein a rap artist but I prly lost u already so jus stick to tlkn bout this poppy ass album tht Rocky put out wit only like 3 good songs

don't ride my wave

i never completely like a whole album.. some songs are always just OK to me. or like meh i'll skip over em. you're just stating your opinion not all people completely like an entire album, and illmatic was an album that defined hiphop, those albums come like a handful of times in a decade if even... stop comparing rocky to all these guys he has nothing to do with.

^ Pac technically wasn't a good rapper. he had a lot of fucking heart and soul and was a visionary when it came to hiphop, but his raps weren't that special. Rocky is similar in that sense. dude is humble as fuck. (yeah, ive met him)... rocky may not be a visionary or on the same level as pac, but he definitely brought a new swag to the game... Plus you gotta respect his whole stance on homophobia and racism n shit.. most rappers shit on gay people constantly.. its nice to see that rocky is a smart dude

annnnd its pretty damn obvious rocky made a real effort to elevate his lyrical game on this album.

whatever doe, people will hate, but shits going to pop off in like a week when everyone hears it.
Pac was an extremely talented rapper. What you mean his raps weren't special?
i mean he didnt have a lot of complexity in his rhyme structure and shit. like biggie was a much better rapper when it came to straight bars.

yes pac had more important and influential subjects in his lyrics and spoke about relevant shit more often than not... so in that sense he was a great musician/artist.

have you listened to pac? please leave pac alone. you clearly will never understand.

pac died a long time ago it's such a shame now kids don't see him the way everybody used to.

people only recognize biggie nowadays smh it's just so reinforced by urban outfitter tees, the movie, and all the rappers now saying that biggie inspired them more so than rappers saying pac did

biggie is way more endorsed and has way more exposure and thats all you niggas know.... exposure is all it is

Pac was bigger than rap though, that's like saying MLK wasn't the greatest public speaker so he didn't have an impact on civil rights.

Rockys new album has some of his best and worst songs hes ever made imo.

Fashion Killa is about the gayest song i've ever heard, I have a hard time believing anyone enjoys that track who hasn't tasted penis.

Phoenix is pretty weak

Wild for the night.... Not my flavor neighbor. If im bumpin a track called wild for the night, its going to be the 96 version with Busta and Rampage.

But theres some great tracks on there two, 1 train, Long Live ASAP, that track with gunplay, theres two or three more bangers I can't remember the titles off the dome.

The album has tracks that are great, to shit, and everything in between. There are more good tracks on it than shitty ones, over all I like it and will be bumping it.

I just gave this another listen and Rocky reminds me of Biggie. They are both black and make rhymes about women and luxurious things

People talkin about Rocky and Pac comparisons need to shut the fuck up

LVL and Hell are my favorite tracks from the album. wish clams produced more than 2 tracks on this album. This was Rocky's opportunity to switch this whole b!tch up and release something raw and new to the masses, but he decided to play it safe. ain't that mad tho, album is still solid, needed some ty beats too....

lol of course rocky is going to play it safe for his debut album. he released the mixtape which gained positive reviews so he's obviously going to want to follow up on that success with a similar tape. like you said though, i'm hoping he starts putting stuff out with a different vibe just to see how diverse he could be

could be interesting to hear what other direction he would be able to take his music, but i know for sure it'd result in this thread being filled with hypebeast haters going off about him having a new style if he was to ever do so
