i've been bumping this album the past 2 days, its solid imo,wtf 5 song thats it what happened to liking the whole album shit like illmatic now that shit is a classic that how hip hop albums should be not just liking 3 songs and the album passes off as good
angels, pmw, lvl, wild for the night , 1train, phoenix, fashion killa is ok.

i never completely like a whole album.. some songs are always just OK to me. or like meh i'll skip over em. you're just stating your opinion not all people completely like an entire album, and illmatic was an album that defined hiphop, those albums come like a handful of times in a decade if even... stop comparing rocky to all these guys he has nothing to do with.
i mean he didnt have a lot of complexity in his rhyme structure and shit. like biggie was a much better rapper when it came to straight bars.^ Pac technically wasn't a good rapper. he had a lot of fucking heart and soul and was a visionary when it came to hiphop, but his raps weren't that special. Rocky is similar in that sense. dude is humble as fuck. (yeah, ive met him)... rocky may not be a visionary or on the same level as pac, but he definitely brought a new swag to the game... Plus you gotta respect his whole stance on homophobia and racism n shit.. most rappers shit on gay people constantly.. its nice to see that rocky is a smart dudePac was an extremely talented rapper. yes pac had more important and influential subjects in his lyrics and spoke about relevant shit more often than not... so in that sense he was a great musician/artist.

I just gave this another listen and Rocky reminds me of Biggie. They are both black and make rhymes about women and luxurious thingsexcept rocky's lyrical prowess isn;t even close to biggie's lol

Jodye standout track for sure
lol of course rocky is going to play it safe for his debut album. he released the mixtape which gained positive reviews so he's obviously going to want to follow up on that success with a similar tape. like you said though, i'm hoping he starts putting stuff out with a different vibe just to see how diverse he could becould be interesting to hear what other direction he would be able to take his music, but i know for sure it'd result in this thread being filled with hypebeast haters going off about him having a new style if he was to ever do so
