I respected A$AP for saying he always directs his videos...but I'm starting to think that's a bunch of garbage. I looked up to Tyler, The Creator because Yonkers and She were dope videos and I've even seen old videos of his on his Vimeo page, so I know filmmaking is definetly a hobby of his, leading me to believe he definitely makes the treatments for his videos. As an aspiring filmmaker I did some research because I was interested and it seems to me like Rocky is just saying he directs his videos because he thinks it's a cool thing to do. Don't get me wrong he definitely has input on his videos, but so does any rapper in his music video. I just have a big problem with him saying he directs his videos when there are professional directors actually creating the work.
The purple swag video director is credited as Jason Ono and on his website it also says so, Rocky is only co-director: http://jasonano.com/
And for the Peso video the director is Abteen Bagheri and ASAP is once again credited as co-director. http://vimeo.com/abteen/videos
And the Wassup video is credited as "A video by A$AP Rocky, Jacob Burghart and Andy Capper." from Vice.
Honestly even the video "he directed" for Danny Brown is credited as also being directed by The ICU, http://vimeo.com/theicu/videos whose done videos for Kendrick, Joell etc.

A$AP I'm pretty sure directs just cause he doesn't have his own single work and shit doesn't me he doesn't. Why are you trying os hard to take credit away form him when you have no proof at all just statements pointing out he has co-directors in the videos his directed maybe's hes need equipment or another perspective but for all you know h could of been doing most of the work.
