what software do you guys use to mix and master a track? also, can anyone recommend a good microphone? help me outt cool

Good microphones - Blue Yeti, Blue Snowball. Both are USB's, both are extremely affordable.

get the mbox 2 mini interface its great and comes with protools only 250... and i cosign the blue mics are the shit

mixing in any daw will do.pro tools is probably best. check out the akg perception series for mics.

All you need is adobe audition 1.5 and a condenser mic for amazing quality, honestly.
