LOL 50k- 70k a show.............

maybe 50-70k a TOUR ngga you out of your mind if you think hes making 50k a show unless hes selling out the whole yankee stadium

50-70k is nothing compared to atlot of rappers out there. I heard Jay-z gets a million a show and every member of wu-tang got 350k a show at their last tour. So its very possible that he can be making that amount. When tickets go from $20 to $60 a show

My name is ASAC Schrader, and you can go fuck yourself.

Yeah but rapping skills don't always draw crowds. I'm not saying he isn't dope but don't assume just because Based God and Boosie are making tht much that doesn't mean Cole is. Trae dudes have had hits and Boosie and Jim had hits along with albums. I agree if he's gonna be a household name he needs to work on his image but he may not care about that, I know his fans don't. He's probably the dopest spotter out right now but tbh he's boring.

you guys are half retarded with these numbers...

Cole is easily getting 10-15 per show..

With that said, if you fucks think people are actually getting a mill or 100k a show your a idiot..

Diddy was asking for 80K per show, when he was buzzing with his singles and artist and rick ross etc..
he doesent ask for that any more obviously

Joe budden only gets around 8-15 per show and he has a crazy psycho fan base and a shit load of material

idk who you think is making 100k a show.. the only guys who can even say they are making that is Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Lil wayne.. no one else is maing that bread on a show.. and these artist arent gonna do bullshit venues. their doing concerts which is why they make mad bread

Lil B is a kid who hasnt even seen 100K you retards.. he would take a show if they offered him 2K why the fuck would anyone pay him more than that though... you kids have to be trolling or your just ignorant as fuck thinking artist actually making Some crazy fucking money

the only way a artist ask for 1Mill (and this is top tier artist) is if they are asked to do private events.. (bar mitzvah weddings parties etc)

As far as show money goes, there's a lot of deductions before the artist gets their money.

1) they have to clear the amount it costs to rent the venue
2) they have to pay for use of stage equipment, lighting, pay the people setting up the shit if they have any and pay union fees for the people working at the venue
3) finally they have to pay for their own touring expenses

if you're playing a 1,200 seaters at 20 each that's $24,000 and a good 10k of that is going to venue and union fees.

No way in hell Lil B is making 100k a show. Has he even played a venue with more than 700 seats?

As far as J. Cole. I don't see him touring for much longer if he doesn't get a hit. He didn't write Whoop There It Is which has nostalgic value. He who Who Dat which people have already forgotten.

First off U2 was the highest earning of 2010, just to be an asshole.
And I don't think you can compare consumer loyalty across genres, the fans just aren't the same, I doubt wu-tang makes more than 300k combined, let alone per member... do u know how much mother fuckin money that is lol

I suggest you listen to some more Cole, man. Or maybe you have, and just don't like him? He has plenty of good songs. I saw him two years ago in Chicago and he was great live. His single was supposed to come out this week, but supposedly he's waiting for a sample to clear.

Wale isn't going anywhere, at least for now. He got that MMG money and a mixtape coming.

Word. Cole has one good song? Fuck you Koven you dumb ass ♥♥♥♥♥. Go listen to more of his shit and tell me that. I bet you couldn't.

The more mainstream appeal, image, character, demand you have the more money you get per show. J Cole is super sick and if it was the 90s or even the early 2000s again omg J Cole would be the biggest artist next to even Jay. But in 2011 it doesn't work that way sadly. J Cole is so slept on but its true your AVERAGE ear does not care about REAL RAP. They respect it of course but its not on their daily playlist of songs. I place a bet that a high percentage of you on this forum prefer hip-hop over hip-pop lol. Hip-hop started out underground then blew mainstream full time in the mid 90s-early to mid 2000s to now being underground again. This techno hip hop, cataracs, poppy, club, rap is all over the radio waves even over here in the West Coast.
