hmmm, r&b now or 10-15 years ago? R&B don't really exist anymore.

mary j blige - whats the 411? is a nice one with beats that push the mixture of hip-hop/r&b style for its time.
also blackstreet and r kelly are always classic.

John Legend - Once Again, has a more timeless feel than Get Lifted
Alicia Keys - As I Am
Maxwell - Black Summers Nights, slept on imo
Ryan Leslie - Transition, honestly just like the beats on this, songwriting/vocals is ok I guess
Kem - Kemistry, basic straight forward quiet storm r&b
Barry White - Greatest Hits
Mayer Hawthorne - A Strange Arrangement
Aloe Blacc - Good Things

Most of these are cohesive albums, pretty easy listens without having to skip any songs really. Mayer and Aloe's albums are more in the soul genre than r&b though. Not really a fan of r&b artist like Neyo, Trey Songz, Jason Derulo. They sound like they're talking and rapping more than they are singing to me.
