The Vent is so dope. I normally don't really mess with Southern rappers but when Krit Wuz Here dropped my perspective changed. This tape will get plenty of run!

The production on this is some of the best I've heard in awhile, especially coming from the fact that he did it all himself.

His first two albums has to be one of the best 1-2's a rapper's ever had considering the quality and consistency of his work.

Dope as fuck haha.

This tape truly brings me back. It's like being a kid rolling around in Houston in the mid-late nineties all over again. Time machine indeed.

it took me a couple listens but this is real good especially content wise. Anyone else think he sounds like Big Boi on this though?

I don't see the comparisons I was really thrown off when Madbury Club said that he sounded like Big Boi and a lot of people are starting to say that now. He sounds like pimp c if you had to compare them. Listen to Big Boi's album and This mixtape. I can't hear any similarities at all.

Maybe its because i've been in the south for a little while.

He sounds/raps like big boi on this track. Matter fact, a lot of this tape sounds like old outcast (which is a big compliment). I do agree he sounded more like pimp c on his last mixtape.

On that Big Boi Comparison
i skipped over that madbury post but now I need to go check it out for sure. smh.

if i had to put anything on this young man (who i would just called an inspired individual) he is a chamillionarie mixtape messiah mixed with a paul wall swishahouse finally getting fame swag interlaced with getto boyz heavy scarface lines spiced with some david banner and touched with an ability to uniquely sensitive in this southern subset.

big boi is a legend in this subset, so while i'm sure he was inspired i disagree with him sounding like him.

AND i don't think you've been gone from the south too long homie, i think hip hop left the deep south in 2002 and hasn't been back since.

^(although he did show up for an appearance in texas in '06, comes to atlanta from time to time to make a fool of itself, and reminisces with some J. Cole lyrics.)

I don't see the comparisons I was really thrown off when Madbury Club said that he sounded like Big Boi and a lot of people are starting to say that now. He sounds like pimp c if you had to compare them. Listen to Big Boi's album and This mixtape. I can't hear any similarities at all.
