to agree with many of you on here, i am really disapointed in this effort aswell. i had no idea he was releasing an album until a few weeks ago, lol, when i seen the word "Lasers" being thrown around i thought it was a single. i wasnt paying much attention. i had my mind set on something called LupEND. i was prepared for a solid effort that would compete with F&L and the Cool

im more dissapointed in the whole Atlantic situation on pushing for certain things. anyone know how many albums he signed for? its too bad that with the same lable he can put out quality product with his previous 2 and when it comes to this things change.

But when I think about what it took to actually get the record together and everything that I went through on this record—which is something I can’t separate—I hate this album. A lot of the songs that are on the album, I’m kinda neutral to. Not that I don’t like them, or that I hate them, it’s just I know the process that went behind it. I know the sneaky business deal that went down behind this song, or the artist or singer or songwriter who wrote this hook and didn’t want to give me this song in the first place. So when I have that kind of knowledge behind it, I’m just kind of neutral to it like, ‘Another day, another dollar.’ As opposed something like The Cool, which is more of my own blood, sweat, and tears, and my own control. With this record, I’m little bit more neutral as to the love for the record.

“I don’t like the process behind Lasers. The music is dope but I just don’t like the process. We were literally at the point where all this music was done except for a couple songs that we did after the protest. So the bulk of the album was done. And we were talking about shelving the album and going to another label, that’s where we were like, ‘If you put the record out, put it out. Either move on to another album or can it and we’ll do other records at another label.’The business of it got solved. I’m happy for the fans, this is their album. This is the album that they fought for and that’s what made me do songs like ‘Words I Never Said’ and ‘All Black Everything.’

yeah dude, i don't think ill support this, the link i posted above he discusses his love/hate relationship with the album

he should have just shelved it like he said and just did something independently with 100% creative control

I read he couldn't release lupend because of his record deal

he has to make more than 3 albums

crazy, thats pretty steep, one of those albums he should just do a quick greatest hits and bounce like many other artists do.

hes signed for 6 records with atlantic so he was trying to do F&L, the cool, LupEND (which would be 3 records released over time), and a greatest hits or something to end his deal. now its more like F&l, the cool, lasers, F&L 2, ???.

Lupe to G.O.O.D. will be a good move (no pun). After reading that article it seems like he's a slave in chains over at Atlantic. Lupe needs to switch over to G.O.O.D. for that freedom smokeyface

That would be amazing.

Lupe is the one to blame. Jay wanted that nikka on Roc-A-Fella.

It's expected when Lupe himself said he hates the album.

Ight got back from my run and listened to the album..

Its chill def not his best but im very happy that he gave use new material, thats a blessing in its self.

its not his original style but he proved he can do this style also, so for all the curious people who wonder if he could be a club banger, he hit dat spot.

overall im just happy i got some new lupe, so for the haters are whiney grabbers, chiil.. just chill.
