That alone doesn't mean anything. Tech N9ne's never on tv and he doesn't get played on the radio outside the midwest. But he has one of the most dedicated fanbases and sells a lot of albums for an independent artist.

I never said Tech was a mainstream rapper. I just used him as an example to show that an artist isn't necessarily "struggling" just because his image isn't shoved in our faces at all times. Wale's been making songs with Ross and Waka lately but looking at his overall body of work including his five mixtapes shows that he's not the typical mainstream rapper either.
