such a classic album. He was still finding his sound so he sounds a bit like AZ & Nas but you can't take away the fact that this is an underground Gem.

Ya'll ♥♥♥♥♥s just posting albums that was good for their time. The fact that the blueprint is still dope after all these years and doesn't sound outdated at all, shows how ill it was.

niqqa of course, blueprint only dropped like 8 years ago, compared to the almost 20 that's illmatic and doe or die, u comparing 2 different sounds from 2 different eras, bp is still part of this one

bring up this same topic in another 10 years and then u can talk about withstanding the test of time

also im not hating, bp was the 1st time i called myself a jay fan, bp is my favorite jay album

bp>rd

Girls, Girls, Girls doesn't sound dated?
Jigga that ♥♥♥♥♥? Sounds like some boats and hoes shit

If Blueprint came out today and it was jay-z's debut you really think it would be #1?

lol, once again other n!iggas bringin DOOM into the conversation. Blueprint isn't even the best mainstream rap album released in the last 15 years, there's no reason to even bring the underground into this discussion. In terms of playability, innovation, lyrical strength, concept, and sheer amount of classic songs I can name a shit-ton of albums off the top of my head that beat Blueprint.

Marshall Mathers LP
Black on Both Sides
Hell Hath No Fury
College Dropout

fuck, the Black Album was better than Blueprint, c'mon son. And that's not even counting the scores of classic albums that were released in the early 90s that completely influenced Jay-Z's style and have made an exponentially bigger impact on the game.
