well if that was the purpose of the album's structure then so be it, but it makes it lose a lot of it's replay value for me. some of these songs are pretty incredible (Devil, Lost In The World, Dark Fantasy, and even Runaway which i wasn't feeling at first) but everything else just sounds misplaced or unfinished to me. and if that is what he was going for then he definitely achieved it, but in the end it makes me NOT like the album and not want to listen to it from a musical standpoint.

Lost In The World is amazing though, it has so much energy and emotion

its weird you say some of the tracks seem unfinished when, from what ive read so far, most people think its super over produced. i have not d/led the leak but i do plan on buying the CD when it drops, so i dont know how to side. it makes me more curious.

yes it is definitely worth purchasing.


bad decision then
in my opinion at least....

but in AOTL that isn't a random jump... that is a trasition that makes sense in the context of the song

this just sounds like a really well-done mixtape to me... it lacks unity

well i guess unfinished to me means he didn't give the same amount of attention to certain songs that he did to others. Stronger got an extension on Graduation but POWER didn't get one. Gorgeous is just kinda uninteresting... not really any change-ups in the song. some of the levels in a lot of these songs sound off.. maybe because i got a leak.

don't need another CD to be happy. i've been pleased with every album he has released until this one. how can i say that? because every song ends abruptly and the next songs starts abruptly. this leaves no room for changes in mood and breaks the flow of the album.

seems like a small thing to nitpick about, but it makes a huge difference to me.

BTW... Jeezy is a fucking boss and i still love him to death. some people don't need to change. however i fully support kanye's progression as an artist.

Dam this album was amazing, i never really enjoy albums with multiple really long songs 7 & 9min long but kanye just made those tracks flow perfectly with the mood of the whole album. He definitley wasnt lying when he said we havent heard any of these tracks before, they sound mastered and perfect now. I cant fucking wait for chain heavy and mama's boyfriend, so im copping a copy for those on top of the solid album.
