I've been listening to a lot of John Coltrane and Miles Davis lately and i'm trying to expand my horizons a little. Do you guys have any suggestions or artists that you like?

Miles and Coltrane are amazing I do think Coltrane was the best at that time... Out of everybody.. I saw in a documentary in the middle of and before shows he would go out and look at the stars for inspiration. I also heard he use to go to sleep with his sax... IDK that kind of passion for something is genius.. It takes that kind of passion and dedication to be successful at what you do...

Thelonious Monk is great....

One of my favorite Jazz records is "In a Sentimental mood" Coltrane & Duke Ellington

Most i've been listening to My Favorite Things by Coltrane, which is some pretty heavy shit, but i've found it to be pretty good foray into jazz.

Thanks, its kinda interesting how 3 of the best jazz musicians ever all worked together. Also I agree 100%, artists just don't put that kind of passion into their craft anymore. It just seems like a vessel to make $$.
