I don't get the hype on him. I've only heard his Compton State of Mind song (which I liked) and Section 80 which was like 3 good songs and him singing some dumb choruses. I'm not hating, I'm just saying I don't get it. What else should I listen to?


If you could only rock with 3 songs on Section 80 then idk what to tell you.

Why is everyone saying there is so much hype on the guy? He had no marketing or anything from his independent label, and is one of the most humble rappers from interviews I've seen. Only hype I could guess is very skilled artists who have had success co-signing him unsolicited.

I can seamlessly listen to that tape all the way through daily. A couple of tracks I could do without, but are still interesting to me are Chapter Ten, and Tammy's Song. The rest I can't stop playing. You don't fuck with Fuck Your Ethnicity, Hol' Up, Keisha's Song, Rigamortus, Ronald Reagan Era, The Spiteful Chant, or Blow My High?

O.D. and the Kendrick Ep were nice, but Section.80 to me was needed.

I think Section 80 might be the greatest complete rap album, if not greatest then it's def. my favorite. Call me crazy, but it gets more amazing each time I listen to it.

i don't think game can crown him


Game is the last big west coast artist that made as much noise as he is, if not less. Also there are somewhat up each others lane music wise so it makes sense.

I have mixed feelings about the album. There are some ill tracks, but a lot of it comes off as Cudi-ish.

Damn, I was expecting the Compton house party that he described in the song. With a darker vibe to it. Oh well, I got an imagination and can envision the music video I thought it was going to be.
