i think i liked the performance more too. but the track is definitely still dope. I feel like the cdq is a lot darker than it was portrayed in the performance. obviously the lyrics were on the dark side but in the performance the beat sounded a lot lighter i guess. but like i said track is still dope.

lots of fools hate on 808's sayin like thats not rap and shit. its not supposed to be rap. it doesnt fall into any single genre. i can understand why some people dont like it but personally i feel it when kanye mixes it up and does shit that nobody else does. for example: Runaway

^^^ exactly, 808s wasnt kanyes regular style, but he cant switch it up? is there no room for diversity?

I like this song better on the cdq imo. maybe its cuz thats what I have on repeat and now its grown on me. the performance reminded me of his love lockdown one from a few years back- he came out and did something completely different. I wasnt supper into that performance either but the song also grew on me..

what I really want to see is what direction the rest of the album takes now that the singles are both so different, maybe every track is gonna change it up?

thank you KanYe isnt just a rapper he's an artist so when he makes songs like this and 808s its not about how good he raps because it isnt rap music, this song is dope as fuck its not as much 808's but similar to it

I kept thinkin bout "they look up to the jets" when he played that lil "ladies and gentleman" sample..it kinda sux my fav rapper rite now/person who had the best album this summer can't perform at a vmas..i was watching all dat wack shit like damn I would go nuts rite now if spitta came outta nowhere and performed "Audio Dope II" wit Dame in the background.
