they'd need mainstream singles like Oh Boy or Ballin. They don't have enough fans to sell well enough imo. i think the amount of fans dipset really has is overestimated because everyone on HB is on their dick.

u have the luxury of being able to say that because u never witnessed the impact they had on the east coast first hand, you'd be surprised how many nigs still fuck with their music. that being said, do i think they can ever recapture that dipset magic that gave them their mainstream appeal they had in the early 2000's? hellllll fucking no, that shit will probably never happen again, by anyone, they just burned too bright and just as fast they burnt out

hip hop is in a different state, that much i can agree on, but i dont think that automatically spells failure for them right now, nigggas always need something to latch on to, and i think EVERYONE could use a break from both the downsouth bounce shit and that emo kid cudi rap, all it'll take is an updated look and the right single like u said

realistically, gold is probably the best they can shoot for, and i think that mostly probably hinges on how much juelz can get the bitches on their side, he's the only one i think hasnt lost any of his luster since the dipset glory days

Dipset was literally a movement, I don't think someone not from NY could fully grasp what they meant to us. In a bleak time when NY "fell off" and hip hop was dominated by the South Dipset pretty much kept us relevant. On top of which Cam is prolly like the biggest character in hip hop, those dudes spawned so many trends it's amazing. I love dipset man, glad to see them all putting their differences aside and doing it together again.
