*****s quick to jump on the C.O shit but bar for bar he can square up with the best. Who cares about his past if he keeps producing quality tunes..just saying.

lol square up with the best? Big Pun, Big L, Jay, Rakim, Nas, dozens of other classic emcees could shit on his life with more skill in one fingernail. Rick Ross is a decent mainstream emcee but please don't disrespect hip hop by putting him up there with the best. And yes 50cent > Ross.

Maybe not Ghostface but definitely Raekwon. Raekwon cant have a hit or make a track for the club. He's a one trick pony.

Raekwon isn't trying to make jams for the club and by the time Ross has been in the game as long as Raekwon has do you think well be hearing big hits from him? No. Rae basically pioneered his own style of concept album with cuban linx and recently picked back up on the cuban linx theme with cuban linx 2. Raekwons OB4CL album is widely regarded as a hip-hop classic and shits on Ross's whole body of work. Ross will never be able to hit the lyrical depth and complexity that Raekwon can hit. Anyone who knows shit about hip-hop will tell you the same.

and who are your favorite new rappers?

So you're saying that Rick Ross can go bar to bar with
Curren$y?
Jay Electronica?
Lupe Fiasco?
Guilty Simpson?
DANNY?

IF so, then you need to have your hearing and mental health re-evaluated, because clearly, your IQ is fucked up.

Officer Ricky's rhymes are forced. It's like he sits down and tries to maximize the number of syllables he can rhyme with each “sonnet”. He has no lyrical depth, he's corny, and he sounds the same on EVERY song; he can't switch his flow. J.U.S.T.I.C.E League is the reason people think he's nice, he has a good ear for production, I'll give him that, but most of the time, his production overshadows his rhymes.

I'm guessing that next, you'll claim the Olympiks are on oar with J Dilla.

I've seen your blog; and all thing considered, it's trash. You seriously play the worst shit, a la 'Gucci x Soulja Boy- LOL', or 'Timbaland x Drake- Say Something'. C'mon, son.

Edit: I just saw what you said about Rick Ross being better than RAEKWON. The same Raekwon who dropped OB4CL2 in TWO THOUSAND NINE. You're mad. Raekwon doesn't make songs for the club. He makes claustrophobic (aesthetically), drug-fueled music. OB4CL was a peak that Officer Ricky can't even imagine- lyrically, and production-wise. And OF COURSE Officer Ricky make cohesive songs, his shitty rhymes are confined to shit how can gangster he is (WHICH IS A LIE). He's a fucking pussy. His guns & weed case was charged to the gang task force, b/c Officer Ricky claims gang ties, which could not be established.

That's what I was trying to point out. Not everyone wants to hear a guy trying to rhyme two words. Some people want something like Flo Rida or some Soulja Boy. Others prefer MF DOOM and Lupe. To each it's own. I love how hip hop now has many sug genres; like rock does. Great to see this genre expanding its horizons.

i love and know more about hip hop than most people here. i just don't dickride old shit. I didn't shit on Raekwon or J. Dilla theyre both great at what they do/did but god damn you guys are ridiculous. J. Dilla isn't the best producer ever, if he was slum village wouldve sold millions, no one even knew who dilla was until he died. and Raekwon is a lyrical genius but OBFCL2 sounds exactly the same as the first one. hes not diverse at all. he hasnt changed with the times at all.

Yeah, if Raekwon changed with the times, he would have been making songs about cranking that or saying yeah (no offense to Wiz).

And yeah, it's pretty obvious you do not dickride classic shit, you dickride Rick Ross, Shawty Lo, Drake, and Soulja Boy.

Well. You refuse to accept the fact that Officer Ricky isn't the reincarnation of Biggie, in fact, you laud him and compliment him, even though his producers are the the wings that carry him- without them, he'd crash and burn.

I'm not even dickriding Raekwon at all. I'm just saying he can make better songs than Officer Ricky- which is something that InfamousHero refuses to acknowledge.

Hip hop is not all about lyrics...people want music they could dance to...

all seriousness, how old are you?

and you're only half right, hip hop is not all about lyrics, not everyone wants lyrics this is true, but because thats all that people are exposed to today doesnt necassarily imply that thats what people want. when you dont give people an option to choose, when you just bombard them with nothing but dance music on radio and tv, you dont leave anyone a choice BUT to listen to it.

its like feeding someone nothing but mashed potatoes their entire life and never giving them an option, theres nothing wrong wit mashed potatoes by itself, but if u dont offer them anything else, it isnt really fair to assume that they eat it because they love it.

also soulja boy sucks sad

...I don't get it...I never stated Rick Ross was or is equal to Biggie...BTW Biggie is nothing nice...he's just like Pac...hyped because of their death.

Yeah because every rapper out raps like Shawty Lo and Soulja Boy. Ghostface made the transition much better than Raekwon.

and if you don't like this song your a bitch and stop talking to me because idc about your opinion.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEz2FeEwb74

I guess I'm a bitch then. I just can't listen to a rapper who rhymes like this:

Yeeeaaaahhh
Shawty Lo and the Big Cats
Yeaaaahhhh
It's the remix so bring ya top hat(eh)
What ya talkin bout
It's L-O
I rap now it's rap skizzo
Thirty bands... fo shizzo
Eight balls same price as the kilo
I'm a boss
Ya'll know my B-I
And I got them same kinda guns like T.I.
See I been that way since knee high
Real dope boyz so you know I trap or Dizzi
No lizzi
I'm hizzi
Like kells I believe I can flizzi
And yeaaaahhhh I'll see you later
BIG UPS... TO ALL MY HATERS!

The only decent rapper in that lot is Luda, and even HIS verse is very mediocre. By the way, Jeezy rhymes some of the same words in the remix as Shawty Lo does in the original.

But seriously, I think you'd better go and soak your phat farm denim.

So you judge rappers solely on their lyrical ability. You do know what lyrics without a beat and flow are called right?

I'm not judging rappers on lyrical ability alone, but rappers like Shawty Lo, Soulja Boy, and Plies are AWFUL. They have no charisma, no lyrical ability, and their beats are half warm, low-budget, and characteristically southern. At least Jeezy & Gucci have charisma- a single card in an otherwise empty game..

but when that track comes on at a party/club everybody goes wild...ive said it many times before...i think a lot of ya'll niiggas are no life having herbs that sit home on the weekends listening to your "real hip hop".

LOL. This isn't me at all. This whole argument sprang from InfamousHero's rather uneducated opinion that Rick Ross can craft better songs than Raekwon. Backpacking sucks, don't get me wrong, but you can't just listen to commercial shit all the damn time.
