you can make dope shit with whatever DAW bro. I know dudes who use FL and make bomb shit. 9th uses FL, Dre has used FL before. if that's all you got, fuck it, master that shit.

Question for producers.....when y'all making a beat, how do y'all start? With the drums? Bassline? Sample?

it depends, usally i make a melody, or sample a melody, and then build drums for it. Then add bass and other instrumental components. Although recently I have been playing with drum kits to make some really sick and complex drum patterns and then build a beat from there, which usally is a simpler melody and beat

I just downloaded FL Demo and my brain is about to explode. Shit is hard when your just getting started. Hopefully Ill have something up by thursday (which will be my first instrumental).
