Great program man, won't disappoint. It'll take some time to get use to but once you do, you'll love it. The capabilities with it are endless.

lol i just opened this shit, the layout is complicated like I remember. Unlike the simplified GB/Logic interface

I'mma get used to it though. I like Logic but it's always good to try out other programs. Got any good tutorials?

I just been peepin youtube. I'm getting everything figured out pretty quickly imo. I been fuckin with both Fruity Loops 9 and reason/recycle. Don't know which one I wanna focus on though.

I think you need to figure out what you need to learn first. I think the most valuable thing you'll need to learn to use in reason is the nnxt sampler. The dr rex loop player is pretty simple and straight forward, but there's a lot to the nnxt that you need to sit down and figure out.

Learning to use the synths is also important. I mostly use Thor, that thing is awesome.

I've been using reason for a few years now, and I love it.

Well you can rewire Reason into Logic, if you prefer using Logic's sequencer.

Most people who use Reason end up rewiring it into something else, using Reason more like a synth/sampler rack than a sequencer. Unfortunately, Reason doesn't let you use vst plugins, so for some (like me) it gives you the flexibility you need to work comfortably.

Well the MPD is a MIDI-controller. Essentially what it does is it acts as a controller for your DAW. Without it being hooked up to a computer with a DAW of some sort, it serves no purpose because it doesn't have a HD or sounds of it's own. It triggers only the sounds and samples you have loaded up in your DAW.

The MPC on the other hand, is everything built into one. It's a sequencer and controller. You can load samples via CD's, floppies, etc (depending on what model MPC you have).
