Weird he didnt put cigar music in the album... its a real dope track. And all the dopes songs had already been leaked. The rest of the shit in there was OK.

Cigar music didn't make the album because the sample wasn't cleared.

Album is stuuuuuupid! The first time I heard the joint with The Dream I thought he sounded out of place too. But after a few bars it comes together. One of my fav tracks on the albums. Ross came hard too. Yall aint giving him enough credit. He aint phoning in those verses. Are yall listening? Like REALLY listening? The man was going in!

Deeper Than Rap>any rap album to come out in 2009 (unless Blueprint 3 actually drops and Til The Casket Drops come out on schedule)

OMFG I just finished watching ross perform magnificent backed by the roots on late night and I was just about to give props to dude for his performance but he actually forgot his entire 3rd verse and ended raping his second verse twice.

Listened to Deeper Than Rap 2 times in a row with no skips. Undoubtedly the album of 2009 so far. The album has a theme and feeling to it that runs throughout. Not one weak track. ANd, the feel of the album is dar but epic and big similar to the feel i got from Jay-z's Black album or maybe Biggies Life AFter Death. JUSTICE League is in peak form the beats are soulful and even melodic and hard on the more gangsta tracks. Rick Ross has not only stepped up his pen game he can easily be classified as dope MC in my eyes. He gets visual and descriptive, he makes use of similes and more metaphors then usual. The last verse on "Rich Off Cocaine" actual gave me chills. He expresses remorse about selling dope similar to the way Clipse does.

I am SO glad Im not one of these people who automatically dismiss artists because they werent feeling thier past music. I always though Ross was just ok but never impressed me before. But I approach everything with an open mind & open ear. And, by doing so I discover stuff that i wouldnt if i was just some frowny faced backpacking purist. ALso, Im happy i dont give a shit if Ross was a cop 5 years ago either. I laugh at the pimpin curly videos and at Ross in police uniform but at the end ofthe day this is entertainment and Im just listening for beats and rhymes.

I agree with babyshoe. Trilla > Deeper Than Rap after a week of letting this settle in.

Make sure you guys/gals get that one too. Also, don't do yourself a disservice by not getting a +192 VBR rip. This bumps with speakers.

I mean..I'm still bumping "This Is The Life" approximately a year later.

and Valley of Death reminds me of this Young Gunz song... the vocals on the hook on the song are so filtered and fitting with the beat i thought it was a sample

I'm still baffled at the love this is getting.

This album is really not that good. Trilla & P.O.M. were better concept and production wise. It's like he got such a rousing response to Maybach Music 1 that he decided to make his whole album sound like that, but couldn't get sample clearance. His whole album is a "sangin ass ***** on it". What's with all these gangster song titles with candle lit beats and singing hooks? The whole mood of the album sounds so outta place. Robin Thicke baggin up dope on a bed of roses.

Dope album. I just wish he would have DROPPED face from the track listing and added cigar music, instead of making it a bonus track.

Album is alright.

Nothing too spectacular, rhyme schemes are basic. Delivery is almost the same in every song, he just changes it up by the tempo of beat. The beat gets a glisten of shine more then him at times IMO. Other then that, it's a solid album.
