is it true to size?

if i fit 8.5 perfect in nike coastal shoe and 8.5 in vans. should i get 8.5 or half size up

I'm assuming there's another thread for this somewhere, but they really need to be tried on in my opinion. I sized up a size because when I first tried them on they were really tight, then they loosened up and they're a bit big now.

Most people get their normal size, wear them and tough it out cause they will hurt in the beginning. I'd say just get a 9 so it doesn't hurt as much. I sized up a whole size and that was too much for me.

they are a bit uncomfortable at first, but then they loosen up.
I went with an 8 but i'm a 7.5, I say half size up.

get 9 dude, I'm 8.5 in coastals and i got 8.5 in janoskis and they were tight as hell. next pair i get will be a 9 for sure

like i tried on 8.5 the toes were perfect but the side was slightly narrow ): is that normal and i need to break the shoe in? or should i just go to 9 to avoid that situation

They size like regular nike shoes. They feel tight at first but when you break i in, they stretch a lot.

I am probably ordering some Janoskis next week so I am curious about right size..I wear SB Dunks Mid in US 11 (they fit well). Just for casual wearing, no skating - should I get 11 or go half size down?

i sized down a half on a few pairs and they fit perfect, but i sized down a half on the 4/20s and they were a bit tight. i think with the newer ones go tts for sure, on some of the olders you could sz down .5

I buy mine exactly true to size and they break in perfectly after a week or so, but I keep my laces a bit looser.

Honestly, I went the same size like sb dunks (US11) and they were uncomfortably loose right out of the box, so I don't think it would get better after breaking.
I have just sent them back and ordered 10,5
