Janoski's have nice board feel but kind of bulky and laces/toebox will tear very easily. Generally I skate Half Cabs, Eras, Lakai Carroll 5's or Emericas. Whatever you do don't skate Authentics.

I skated the original team editions and I really liked them. I haven't tried the new ones though.

^^^I'd get eras over authentics to slate but they're both going to rip real fast.

Yeah, they've got an awkward shape. Very long and narrow. But once you break them in they skate pretty well. Good board feel and cushioning. Owned the blue ones for about 2 1/2 weeks.

i like busenitz the best, they tear up too easily though.
also, broken-in Authentics give the best feel.

Copped some Nike SB Blazers for $35.
Cant wait to skate them.

How do you guys tend to like the fit of your shoes? Snug or loose?
I got a pair that fits kind of narrow in the toe area. It's suede, think it'll stretch?

I got the first Emerica Hsu's. Probably the best skate shoe ive owned. They're durable as fuck and comfy. Decent board feel too.

Im more into the not so snug and not too losse but a bit more on the loose side. What pair of shoes are you talking about? it depends. Nice cop too, blazers are tanks when it comes to skate shoes

Emerica Hsus are good skate shoes. Theyre not as durable for me though. I ripped them up in about a week and the grip wears off extremely fast.

As for the Nike Sb Dunk High Comment up there, i completely disagree. Dunk highs are the worst shoes to skate in. I skated my venoms and i hated it so much i stopped and went to some dunk lows. I dont regret it one bit. I need another pair

A pair of Huf Hufnagel Pros. I chose them cause they are low profile, but they're a little too snug haha.
Oh well, guess I might just have to return it.

I always skated Half Cabs, Eras or Old Skools, despite them falling apart in no time and the old e'S Koston 1's, 2's, 3's and 4's. Always loved them. Tried some DC's a store gave me back in the day but they were enormously clunky. Apparently Janoski's are the shit but I haven't tried.

mini reviews of the last couple pairs i skated... I'm mostly trying to kill off my sb collection by skating them all

nike sb p rod 2 : too bulky, needs better lace protection, comfortable cupsole helped for drops

nike sb dunk mid: the perfect skate shoe. cut the straps, love the cupsole, slimmer than prod with lace protection on the bottom two eyelets

nike sb dunk low: comfy low cut shoe that can take a torsional beating unlike most vans or vulc soled shoes. currently skating my newcastles, really great shoe

nike sb janoski: slim profile for best board feel. Didn't have much support and thin construction did make for some ouchies when the board hits feet/ankles.

laki pico: didn't even really skate these more than a few times. garbage insoles slide around and bunched up, the heel wore down after two months. will not buy another pair of lakai's until something can change my mind.

I think it's weird people don't like their skate shoes snug, I would think it would make flip tricks a lil awkward. How do the janoski highs skate compared to the lows, better or worse or just the same with more support? Kinda wanna jump on the bandwagon but I'm sorta over supporting that brand. Gravis filters are off the fucking chain in terms of board feel, if your not jumping down anything I highly recommend em. Got some grippy ass soles too

Just skated through some Half Cabs, too much shoe for me. Can't feel the board at all.

Still trying to find a solid pair.
