I'm currently not wearing socks with my Vans because I'm inside.

But I'd have to say that you shouldn't necessarily have the need to wear socks at your house, friends house, or just driving around and not having the need to actually get out of the car.

I rarely wear socks and I just get my size socks or otherwise I dont think the socks are thick enough to make a difference

When wearing boat shoes, flip flops, or sandals. I just can't stand the look of sandals/flipflops with socks.

I think if your feeling sweaty after wearing socks you should not wear it. Also I avoid wearing socks in rainy season as they get wet in rain.
