I would say half cabs probably last longer just because they're all suede instead of suede/canvas. As for which feels better, Its probably just preference.

I find that half cabs get "floppy" after about a week of skating. Personally I skate Era's or Oldschools now.

half cab pros are the best vans to skate in.

Canvas shreds like paper against grip tape. If you like skating Eras (the board feel is great, I know) get some Era Pros or Suede Eras if you want them to last a little longer.

I skated the brown Russeted pair of Half Cabs and they were suprisingly one of my favorite to skate in...in terms of vans and whatnot

I skate Half Cabs and I love them. Once they get to that nice worn-in point for skating, they're the best. I feel like the Sk8 Hi would tear very easily...
