Picked up a pair of Reeboks Zigtechs...love them! Avid runner and I've notice quite a difference in how my knees and ankles feel after. They look a little different...but shit some of the asics and sauconys are disgusting... I know I know they have great support bla bla they're hideous.
prestos are dope too but i doubt you would find them at a local retailer try the net
but i think nike will push them again as it looks like there moving on from free's
try to get fitted for a shoe at a local running spot. if you can't asics are amazing. i've put a few thousand miles on a few pair that I have and they hold up amazingly.
Asics all the way. I do alot of running and have owned all brands and Asics are my favorite by far. I'm not the kind of person who gets loyal to one brand but the fact is asics specializes in running shoes and you get the best shoes for the money. Alot of other brands like nike or reebok jack up the prices for their brand name and add extra stuff to make them fashionable. I just picked up a pai or gel pulse 2's at sports authority on sale and they are super comfortable. I have bad knees and joints and with these shoes I don't have any pain. They have some cushiony thing under the ball of your foot to lessen the impact.
