Ight so I'm looking for recommendations on a nice, simple, 42mm gold watch. I'm young and on a budget of about $300. Anything comes to mind?

It's aight. I fucks wit it.

For me, I don't get niggas who go wild about watches, whether they're streetwear brands or luxury brands. I mean, there are far better ways of showing you have status that doesn't involve getting motherfuckers to look at your wrist every time you roll your sleeve up. But then again, this is the watch thread, so I'ma stop trolling...now.

I agree, it's amazing how much better the super oyster makes this watch look.

Just google or ebay search Seiko skx007. For a decent quality automatic, you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Good looks.

I just copped a zulu strap but I am having a hard time trying to find a youtube video or instructions on how to remove my strap. Does anyone know of a forum/blog to help with removing seiko skx007 bracelets? smh

Phoenix nato straps and the 2 on the right are from Maratac. Phoenix straps are made in the UK and are the genuine military issued straps for the british army. Maratacs are the best quality but i dont like the sheen on their straps.

Phoenix straps - http://www.corvuswatch.com/index.asp?page=british_and_italian
maratac - http://www.broadarrow.net/maratac.htm

i also have straps from http://www.gnomonwatches.com/Product-view.asp?id=20 softer nylon, holes tend to stretch a little bit but the colors are nice. great selection of straps but shipping to US takes FOREVER.

nope no battery. it uses a power reserve that's charged just by wearing the watch. usually about a 24 hr reserve, so if you take it off and put it down for longer than that it'll stop. they don't run very accurate either -/+ ~10 seconds every day.

i personally had like 3 automatic watches, but ended up selling them all this past year. just wasn't my thing.

First time I've heard someone say "autos" are not their thing. Auto is a must for me, or a hand-wind movement like a swiss Unitas.
