hmm..

the best you can do for 350~ is probably the Orient CFT00004B semi-skeleton. avoid sea-gull, stuhrling, etc.

Why avoid Sea-gull? They make their own movement and they are probably one of the best mushroom brand out there. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

I'm in the market for my first watch since I was like 10 years old. I want something classy and flashy kind of. Something that would could be worn going out and still look nice in a formal occasion. I've been thinking of going with something with the case size being in the 43-45mm range, black leather band.

I don't have the budget to pick up a nice Baume & Mercier or a nice Carrera so I was thinking about going with this



$295... I could get it on sale now for around $270

Thoughts, suggestions, opinions? I could go a little higher on the price range

do yourself a favor and stay away from fashion watches. look into lum-tec. they make excellent watches for the money.

overpriced, low grade materials, mediocre quartz movement, etc. you're much better off with a reasonably priced watch from a quality brand, like seiko.

burberry, fossil, armani, diesel, etc = garbage imo. straight up made in china quality.

Relatively true. Have a look at Tissot watches. Affordable and it's swiss. Swiss and fuck everything else. If you've got more money look at other swiss watches but Tissot is a good entry level time piece, they do automatics for reasonable prices too.

*cough* grand seiko *cough* ~ i messed around with one a few weeks ago..unbelievably well made. fit and finish is definitely up there with rolex, iwc, etc.

Tissot has some really nice pieces. I would definitely consider picking one of them up, only complaint is the case size. From the ones I liked the case sizes were like 39.5, where I'm searching for something in the low 40s.
