Sep 29, 2006 @ 13:31
i need that reason nyc tee.. it illudes me at every turn.
Sep 29, 2006 @ 13:51
Bun B is a joke of a lyricist.
Sep 29, 2006 @ 13:54
do you really believe that bigsink? or is it still chic to bash the south?
Sep 29, 2006 @ 13:56
Print out some Bun B songs and see for yourself. I have nothing but love for the true talent of the south.
Sep 29, 2006 @ 14:13
thats weird, because he is one of THE ORIGINAL talents of the south.
Sep 29, 2006 @ 14:15
it's crazy, I just don't see how anyone can hate on bun B, he has no beefs with anybody, and groups like the roots probably think he is respectable. He's just doing his Houston thing
Sep 29, 2006 @ 14:29
Hating on Bun-B is imposible, so I don't believe you!
Sep 29, 2006 @ 14:29
i dont have to print anything...

supertight, ridin dirty are proof enough...

the verse on one day your here? 3 16's? pocket full of stones...

to each's own...
Sep 29, 2006 @ 14:45
Good GOD. Just because Bun B is an original of south, that doesn' t make him great. I mean Too Short was an OG, but everything that came out of his mouth is Dr. Seus bullshit imo. Don't get me wrong Bun B & Too Short, both are entertaining, but a lyricist...NO.

On a side note: Big ups to Crooks. They just keep blowing up.

haha, half you fuckers dont even realise UGK had albums out when Pac and Biggie were debuting their firsts. Ridin' Dirty is a classic IMO, southern or not. i'd challenge half of you define what you believe to be great lyricism.

Preach... Ridin Dirty = Classic

no matter wtf he or pimp c doin right now ridin dirty will always be one of the greatest albums to ever come from south

Lotta ignorant statements in this thread, but whatever. As far as Wayne dude has been in the game for a decade plus. Has classic cds with Cash Money. But arguing hip hop on here is a lose lose situation.

And as for if he knows what Diamond is doesn't matter. People in the "streetwear" scene don't know everything. I'm sure a lot of people don't even know about Ghostface, but people still rock tees with Wu Ghost references. Same with Biggie. I see where the arguement comes from but come on. Did Wayne claim to be a skater? Can he Nollie heelflip down El Toro?

And Bun B is wack? I'll leave that alone.

Seeing that Rides cover makes me not wanna rock My Diamond x Misfits crew anymore cause once peeps at my school see it they'll wanna know where i copped clothes from "Lil Wayne's Clothing Line" at( just like they did with Bape, the wiggers at my school believe that just because Lil Wayne wears it, its his company)
Sep 29, 2006 @ 22:50
Only on HB would people be hating on Bun B and questioning his ability as an MC.
Sep 30, 2006 @ 00:04

Some people just dont grasp that concept. If a person is surrounded by D4L, Young Joc, Jim Jones and Chingy of course they will be impressed by Lil Wayne. Now these same guys are saying Riding Dirty is a classic? Its all about perception. The ignorant will never know unless they open their nogins.
Sep 30, 2006 @ 16:43
The real question is who listens to D4L, Young Joc and Chingy? I don't consider Jim Jones a rapper, he's pure foolishness and entertainment. But the 3 listed above are terrible.
Sep 30, 2006 @ 18:00
Lil Wayne, Bun B and Jim Jones > ____
Sep 30, 2006 @ 18:40
Mike Jones always looks retarded and he even looks more retarded with a bald head.
