Almost picked up a Dior Homme sweater for $20, but I thought it was a little expensive for thrift status, you never know what kind of huge bitch rubber her ass on it.

I think the hunt for rare/cool shit is the best part of going to thrift stores. Never kno what you'll find in those places because hardly anyone cares to go.

I don't have a camera, but I've been hitting some thrift/army surplus/vintage shops over christmas break and come up with a few pearls. 3 ties for $30 combined, $10 scarf, $15 canvas shoulder bag. It feels good. It's so weird when you get used to seeing clothes for so dirt cheap to go into an ordinary store. $300 for a collared shirt!? I can get one of these for $15 if I don't mind it being hugely baggy in the chest, tiny in the arms, and covered in mustard stains!

Really? I would have thought NYC would be a thrift store heaven.

At worst I can imagine New York thrift stores being a little overpriced.

I remember when NERD first dropped and Pharell would talk about how he normally wears thrift store jeans but with shoes like Vuitton or Prada. Like, high fashion trailer wear, including his love of trucker hats. One time, there was a spread in GQ that had he with a Gucci white leather jacket, thrift store levis, and Vuitton kicks. Anybody remember that era of his fashion?

Honestly, he dressed the best when they first came out. I actually dug that style (but I couldn't do it, lol). Now, he dresses kinda bad.

2001/2002 Pharrell was a tad weird, 2004/2005 Pharrell was a beast. Now he is out of touch.

thrifting is like record collecting

Thats actually the primary reason I goto thrift stores. My best "finds" have been like 1000 records a working Sega CD, and a gold edition Legend of Zelda NES cartridge.

I copped some dress shoes for like $5 one time though.

I went to the Goodwill and Salvation Army in NYC, and I found absolutely nothing.
